Accommodation
The Issels Medical Center offers treatment on an out-patient basis. Patients from out-of-town find accommodation at special rates in nearby suite hotels or apartments overlooking the ocean and within walking distance to the beach in Santa Barbara, in close proximity of the major hospital and health food store. Prices range from $700.00 per week for a one bedroom apartment to $ 980.00 for a two-bedroom apartment. The beds are queen size and/or twin. These apartments come with a large living room with a sofa, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Climate
Santa Barbara is considered southern california and the weather is generally in the low 70's during the day and low 60's during the evening. At night you may require a jacket or woolen sweater. During winter, daytime temperatures are usually from the low to high 60's and nighttime in the low to high 50's. Tourist information is located in the admissions office.
Meals
The Issels Medical Center serves complimentary organic lunch, fresh pressed organic juices and snacks.
Travel
Most patients fly into LAX airport in Los Angeles and rent a car to travel to the clinic. Some people choose to fly into Santa Barbara and rent a car there.
