Carl SwanbergIt looks like a miracle to me, my family and friends, who could hardly recognize me when I returned home from the Issels Medical Center in Santa Barbara. My oncologists had not given me any hope with their treatment for my aggressively growing hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatitis C and liver cirrhosis, and I was sent home to die. According to their prognosis I am supposed to be dead by now. When I decided to try the Issels Treatment, at first Dr. Issels did not want to admit me because he thought I was too far advanced and in too bad a shape for an outpatient treatment. He gave in to my plea and then the cancer gave in to his treatment!

I was overwhelmed by the personal attention I received from Dr. Issels and his staff, and by the beauty of the whole place. I received my intravenous drips (and a sun tan!) while sitting with my friend and other patients on the large terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean, being spoiled with fresh pressed juices, snacks of nuts and fruits, and delicious luncheons. Of course, I received much more. The result of the very comprehensive non-toxic treatment: My AFP cancer marker dropped from 4069 when I arrived to 124 within 3 weeks. Both results were checked twice, in order to rule out a mistake. After 2 more weeks it dropped to 118. I have not felt so good in years.

Nov. 2005, Carl in his own words:
"In October 2004 my oncologists gave me 6 weeks to live, my AFP tumor marker was over 4,000. Now, a year after I started the Issels Treatment, my tumor marker is down to 65. My oncologists whom I still see, but who have no treatment for me, cannot believe how well I am doing. I feel better than I felt in years."

Beverly L. Lore, 2006 Advanced Invasive Adenocarcinoma of the Breast
Tumor of 6x8 cm almost disappeared and lymph nodes shrank considerably within 4 weeks of the Issels Treatment.

>> Click to Watch Beverly L. Lore's Testimonial (5.19MB video)

Beverly L. LoreIn September 2006, Beverly L. Lore, 71, was diagnosed as suffering from Stage IV breast cancer which she had noticed since June 2006. The right breast showed a tumor of 6 x 8 cm and the bigger one of 2 lymph nodes in the axilla measured approximately 6 cm in diameter. Inflammatory changes extended over approximately a 4 cm diameter area.

The pathology report of September 8th, 2006 revealed: Invasive poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. It was ER-negative, PR-negative, HER-2, neu positive by IHC. The tumor was too big for surgery. She received chemotherapy such as dose-dense Adriamycin/Cytoxan, as well as Taxol, which she discontinued after the second cycle, because of severe toxic side effects.

On October 23, 2006, when Mrs. Lore began the comprehensive treatment at the Issels Medical Center she was still extremely fatigued and suffered from mental fogginess. The tumor marker CA 125 was 40 U/mL. After 4 weeks on the Issels Treatment the tumor marker CA 125 dropped to 23 U/mL and the tumor as well as the lymph nodes had shrunk considerably. Her general condition improved dramatically. On November, 23rd 2006, the patient in her own words: "In the hospital in Nebraska my oncologist frightened me horribly with my diagnosis and prognosis. Now, my cancer has almost disappeared. And that's all because of the care and the treatment these people have here. They are most knowledgeable in whole body healing. There's someone here to address every need that you have, any question that you have. I'm so glad we came. I feel like I have many years added to my life."

Theresa Eyerman, 2006
Metastatic Inflammatory Adenocarcinoma Stage IV of the Breast
Inflammatory changes disappeared and general condition dramatically improved.

>> Click to Watch Theresa Eyerman's Testimonial (5.99MB video)

Theresa EyermanIn July 2002, Theresa Eyerman, then 40, was first diagnosed as suffering from invasive ductal adenocarcinoma of the right breast, histological and nuclear grade 3, ER/PR negative, HER-2/neu positive. After lumpectomy of a 2 cm tumor and a full right axillary lymph node dissection, she received 8 chemotherapy sessions, 4 of Adriamycin/Cytoxan and 4 of Taxol. She had a recurrence in her right breast in Dec. 2003 and on pathology the tumor turned out to be again an invasive ductal carcinoma, histological and nuclear grade 3. In Feb. 2004 she had a radical mastectomy of the right breast followed by 6 weeks of radiation therapy with a radiosensitizing dose of capecitabine. She received chemotherapy in the form of Xeloda until Feb. 2005. In March 2005, Theresa was diagnosed of a recurrence in her left chest wall which was heavily treated with, and has progressed through, chemotherapy including liposomal Taxol, Doxil, and Gemcitabine. This was followed by Avastin and Navelbine, as well as oral Cytoxan.

On February 20, 2006, Theresa started the intensive immunobiological treatment at the Issels Medical Center. The inflammatory cancer with multiple erythematous nodules of varied sizes covered the right breast and extended around the left armpit to the back reaching below the costal margins on both sides. Theresa responded very well to the Issels Treatment and the rash like metastases disappeared. The tumor markers CA 15-3 decreased from 66 to 52 and CA 125 from 13 to 10. In her own words: “I have dramatically improved and the rash that I had all over me has disappeared. It's been a great experience and the best 3 weeks I've ever done out of my life."

M.D., 2006 Adenocarcinoma of the Colon with Abdominal, Pelvic and Lung Metastases.
PET scan of 01/2006 showed neither lung nor pelvic metastatis. Abdominal Metastases almost gone. Fully fit for work.

The 4 inch tumor in my colon was removed in January 2002 followed by 4 months of chemotherapy.

In July 2005 a CT scan revealed a nodule in the lower lobe of my lung and the biopsy in August 2005 confirmed that this was a metastasis of my colon cancer.

The PET scan in September 2005 showed many metastases in my abdomen and pelvis. My oncologist did not recommend chemotherapy at this point and my wife asked: Does this mean “terminal” and he said “yes”. We were shocked and in panic we looked for alternatives.

We found the Issels Medical Center in Phoenix and I started the immunobiological treatment right away on September 17th 2005. After the intensive 3-week program I have continued the home care program plus regular weekly intravenous therapy until March 2006, as I am lucky to live in town.

I have not had any chemotherapy or radiation any more and feel fantastic. I am fully fit for work and exercise on a regular basis. The PET scan of January 6th 2006 did not show the lung metastases any more nor the pelvic metastases. The abdominal metastases have almost disappeared. My wife and I treasure every moment of regained life thanks to the Issels Treatment and the very caring doctors and their staff at the Issels Medical Center in Phoenix.

V.C., 2006 Metastatic Undifferentiated Small Cell Lung Cancer
Lung masses markedly decreased. Back to normal life.

In October 2004 I was diagnosed with undifferentiated small cell lung cancer of the middle lobe of the right lung. It was inoperable and I received chemotherapy and radiation with the usual sickness which was terrible at times. This treatment was completed in July 2005. In August I started to feel chest pain and shortness of breath which was very scary. Only 6 weeks after completion of chemotherapy the cancer became active again.

On August 29th 2005 I started the intensive program of the Issels Treatment Center in Santa Barbara, which was really very comprehensive with daily intravenous drips, injections into the muscle, oral medications, the hyperthermia bed, diet with organic fresh pressed juices and luncheons served at the center, massage, colonics, etc. Already 2 weeks into this biological treatment my shortness of breath subsided as well as the pain in my chest and ribs. I have continued the follow-up home care program and have come for intravenous therapies twice per week for several months now driving myself from my home to the clinic in 1/1/2 hours. I simply feel great.

The PET scan of January 31st 2006 was compared to the one of November 08th 2005. It showed that all the masses in my lung markedly decreased. And this without chemotherapy or radiation, without any sickness and infection.

My blood count and tumor markers are within the normal range. I am back to my normal life again and am very grateful to Dr. Issels and his staff. There is a warmth about this place, which I am sure, plays its role in the healing process.

G.V., 2006 Metastatic Squamous Cell Cancer of Tongue and Neck
All tumor markers had decreased and neck lesion had shrunk by half. Feels excellent and resumed his activities.

When I was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma of my tongue and neck stage III in August 2005, I immediately decided to try the natural treatment first, as my oncologist did not give me much hope with chemotherapy and radiation.

I arrived at the Issels Medical Center in Santa Barbara on August 29th 2005 with the neck tumor of 10.5 cm x 6.5 cm pressing on the mandible. When I left after the 3-week treatment program the neck lesion caused less discomfort and there was a space between lesion and mandible.

All my tumor markers had decreased and by December 2005 my neck lesion had shrunk by half. Now in March 2006, I feel excellent and have resumed my activities. I have not had any standard cancer treatment.

C.H., 2005 Metastatic Cancer of the Pancreas, Hepatitis A and B, Diabetes Type 2
Tumor marker Ca 19-9 dropped from 23,160.5 to 17,747.7, the Ca 125 decreased from 488 to 96 and the Alkaline Phosphatase from 245 to normal.

When my adenocarcinoma of the head of the pancreas was diagnosed, it had already spread to many of the surrounding lymph nodes. I had lost 30 pounds, was jaundiced and very weak. I could only walk a few steps with the help of 2 people.

I was not eligible for the Whipple surgery, nor for chemotherapy because of my hepatitis A and B, and diabetes type 2 with insulin dependency.

During my intensive 3-week treatment at the Issels Medical Center in Santa Barbara, with just the biological protocols, the tumor marker Ca 19-9 dropped from 23,160.5 to 17,747.7, the Ca 125 decreased from 488 to 96 and the Alkaline Phosphatase from 245 to normal.

My jaundice subsided completely, my sickness subsided, I gained weight and could walk a few steps more every day. Now I got so strong that I resumed swimming. I am deeply thankful for having my life back.

V.S., 2005 Stomach Cancer
CEA marker decreased from 1450 to 600.

In October 2004 I was diagnosed with inoperable stomach cancer that had spread to the abdomen. I received 8 sessions of chemotherapy to no avail. I lost 60 pounds and my oncologist did not conceal my poor prognosis.

When I started the comprehensive treatment program at the Issels Medical Center in Santa Barbara, I was thoroughly diagnosed with their special testing methods, which allowed Dr. Issels to customize my treatment.

For 3 weeks I received their protocols with intravenous and intra-muscular injections, oral medications, hyperthermia, massage, colon-hydrotherapy and the tasty organic meals. In the beginning I was too sick to eat. But this slowly changed, with good and bad days alternating. Now, I admit, I have many more good than bad days.

My CEA cancer marker was 1450 when I started the Issels Treatment. After the intensive 3-week program it decreased by 750 points to a value of 700. I continue the home program and the marker dropped by another 100 points - and I feel it.

During the treatment at the Center the extraordinary commitment and caring of each one of the staff members creates a virtual healing environment. I believe that this contributes greatly to the fact that almost every patient whom I met went home in an improved condition and very thankful.

B.K., 2004 Pancreatic Cancer with liver metastases
Returned home to South Africa with improved condition.

In March of 2004 my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He underwent the Whipple surgery and received 3 months of chemotherapy.

During chemotherapy his tumor markers rose dramatically and the cancer spread to his liver. His oncologist gave him a dire prognosis. However, my father was not ready to give up and explored alternative options. We came across the Issels Treatment, which made sense to us. As my father's condition deteriorated visibly - with this type of cancer every day is crucial - we made a quick decision and headed to the Issels Medical Center.

After a 4-week intensive program we returned home to South Africa. Our family and friends were surprised to see not only his improved condition, but his healthy complexion and great appetite.

With determination he continues the Issels home care program and is fortunate to have found support from his local doctor. In the meantime he has become so strong that his personal trainer had to increase the weights that he is lifting every day.

Dr. Issels and his staff did not only provide my father with a very special medical treatment, but with personal care and caring of a kind we had never experienced before in a medical environment.

There was warmth and love about the place. Patients were pampered with delicious healthy luncheons by Vanessa, with relaxing, detoxifying massages and exciting "extra-curricular" activities organized by Don. There would be so many things to say. We would just like to say thank you to each one of you.

R.H., 2004 Lung Cancer
Tumor size decreased.

My wife and I are so excited. I have been suffering from lung cancer that resisted to standard treatment.

When we arrived at the Issels Medical Center, I also had a tumor measuring 8 x 8 cm that was visibly protruding from my chest. Towards the end of the second week of the intensive treatment the tumor started to shrink and when we left after 3 weeks it measured 7.5 x 7.5 cm.

We are very grateful to Dr. Issels for his extraordinary personal commitment that inspires all of his staff members and is very reassuring to us patients. We felt very well taken cared of with all our needs. It also is encouraging to see other patients getting better during treatment.

At the Issels Medical Center we encountered a very special atmosphere of caring, warmth and beauty. It was hard to say good-bye. But we remain in contact and I am diligently continuing the home-care program.

F.L., 2004 Breast cancer with lung and bone metastases
Spinal Metastases untraceable; Pleural Effusions resolved. Considerable regression of lesions.

This 42-year-old woman's breast cancer was originally treated in 1996 with a lumpectomy. Positive margins forced a segmental excision in September 1996. By January 1997, due to a recurrence F.L. had a mastectomy followed by 8 cycles of chemotherapy with cytoxan, methotrexate, and fluorouracil.

An emergency room CT scan for shortness of breath in February 2003 demonstrated bilateral pleural effusions and metastases in both lungs. A biopsy on February 4, 2003, confirmed metastatic, well-differentiated carcinoma consistent with her primary breast cancer in 1996. Bone studies of both February 7 and 11, 2003, showed metastatic involvement of the spine at T3-T4.

One week later, F.L. was admitted to the in-patient facility, the Issels Treatment Center, where she was treated from February 17 through her discharge on March 15, 2003.

In August 2003, F.L. started her comprehensive treatment at the Issels Medical Center. As usual, their personalized treatment protocol was based on very thorough diagnostic methods including the imaging of her matrix through electrodermal screening. They eliminated various functional blockades with their treatment protocol including patient-specific IV solutions, glandulars, homeopathic remedies and others. Something shifted.

The comparison of her CT scans from February 3 and September 11, 2003, revealed: her spinal metastases seen in February 2003 could not be imaged in September 2003, her pleural effusions had resolved, and a considerable regression of almost all lesions had occurred. She returned to the Issels Medical Center for a follow-up treatment in March 2004. In May 2004, she is leading a normal healthy life. In her own words: "I feel great".

In May 2006 all her tumor markers are normal and she reports that she feels excellent.

M.F., 2003/2004 Breast cancer with bone metastases and lymph involvement
PET scan of 11/2004 shows she is stable. Resumed work and very active life.

In October 2002, patient M.F. was admitted to the Issels Treatment Center with high-grade infiltrating ductal carcinoma of the breast with extensive lymph involvement and bone metastases to her shoulder and several vertebrae. Her largest tumor was the size of a small fist (8.3 cm), with 12 axillary lymph nodes replaced by tumor growth with the largest extension the size of a nickle measuring 2.4 cm. Her PET scan of Oct. 7, 2002, revealed metastases in the right scapular and left iliac bones, with probable metastases in her lower dorsal and lumbar spine. Infiltrated lymph nodes were demonstrated in the bilateral hilar and perihilar regions, the axilla, and a long peritracheal chain was visualized. She was on heavy pain medication, very nauseated and depressed. Within 2 weeks of the beginning of the comprehensive Issels Treatment a palpable chest wall metastasis disappeared. From the 19th day of the treatment she did not require any pain medication and was no longer nauseated. She regained her appetite and left in much improved condition.

On 01/07/03, a new PET scan revealed the following: "There is marked improvement in the interval with resolution of most of the bilateral hilar metabolic lymph node activity...There is marked diminished activity in what was thought to represent a metastasis to the right scapular region...There is resolution of a previous left pelvic lesion and several lumbar lesions seen on the study of 10/7/02. No new metastatic disease is seen on the current study." From 06/27/03 until now, 12/2004, M.F. has been under the comprehensive treatment at the Issels Medical Center and her health has further improved.

November 2004, in her own words: "Dr. Christian Issels and Dr. Jonathan Psenka have given me a new life with their very special treatment. I have not felt so good in many years. Shortly after I started their treatment, I could breathe better and do many things that I could not do for the past 2 years. I have even resumed my work, as I am used to leading a very active life. My husband and my children are very happy. Also the recent PET scan showed that I am stable".

In March 2006 patient is very active and accompanies her husband on his business trips.

J.H., 08/2004. Blackpool, U.K. Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Appetite returned, gained weight, and had hope.

In the Spring of 1971 I experienced increased breathing problems, a persistent unproductive cough and "night sweats".

I was diagnosed as suffering from Hodgkin's Lymphoma and underwent major thoracic surgery followed by a course of radiotherapy.

A year later my condition deteriorated and, in July 1972, I received a further course of radiotherapy after which my consultant assessed my life expectancy as "a good few weeks, if not months". Immediately afterwards I traveled to Germany and was admitted to the Issels Clinic weighing just 85lbs. Within days of starting the Issels immunotherapy my appetite returned, my weight started to increase and, best of all, I had hope.

I returned to England after 12 weeks and continued the Issels Treatment, with the support of my family doctor, for a further year.

In 1975, regular blood tests revealed slight abnormalities, and I returned for a consultation with Dr Issels. He referred me to an English hospital for a short course of chemotherapy.

Since then I have enjoyed a normal active life, without any further treatment. I work full-time as a primary school teacher and enjoy gardening and hill-walking in my spare time.

I have no doubt that, without immunotherapy, and the efforts and skills of Dr. Issels, my initial prognosis would have proven accurate.

Robert Brotherwood, April 13, 2003 Thyroid Cancer Healthy since 1968.

My name is Robert Brotherwood. I was a patient at the Issels Clinic in December of 1968. I had thyroid cancer then and didn't have any hope left in the United States for any treatment to help me.

My family Doctor, Dr. Rabe, suggested we try going to Germany for treatment because his son had been treated there years earlier and was still living. I have been healthy since 1968, almost 35 years. I have competed in weight lifting competitions, ran 10 k races, and have been married 30 years and have 2 children. I recently started running again and have my goal set on competing again this fall in 10 k races.

I was suprised to see anything on the internet about Dr. Issels treatment. You can add me to the list of cured patients if you like. Please contact me if you want more information.

Sincerely
Robert Brotherwood

John Stirling, 10/2000. Birmingham, U.K. Melanoma with lymph involvement
Enjoys a healthy, very active cancer-free life.

In 1976 in my homeland Australia, I underwent surgical removal of a malignant melanoma which had already spread to the lymph nodes. At this stage my surgeon saw no point in removing them…. I was fortunate to find Dr. Josef Issels' clinic in Germany…

Under his strong positive guidance, my resignation gave way to hope and he mobilized my healing power… It is hard to find the right words to express my gratitude to Dr. Issels for 23 years of a healthy, very active cancer-free life which I enjoy with my wife and son. I am 53 years old and work harder than many of my colleagues half my age."

September 2004 in his own words, "I feel great."
